SecGen

Summary

SecGen is built to randomly generate and edit sectors of a space map. Its intended uses are for assisting a GM with their sci-fi campaign in a tabletop RPG, managing the grand campaign map of a tabletop wargame, or simply as a world-building tool for writers.

Install

1. Download the Secgen zip file

2. extract the file to your desired location

3. Navigate to the extracted file and double-click SecGen.exe.

Getting Started

To get editing, click FILE, then NEW or SECTORS. A demo sector is included to play around with if you like. The tool is built to be as intuitive as possible, but if anything trips you up, check the ReadMe included with the tool. If you're still stuck or find a bug that totally breaks the tool, please let me know in the comments.

Follow Up Notes

There are no plans to add additional features at this time, but please let me know if you find any bugs. If there's enough interest, I'll consider building a second version with some true procedural generation and suggested new features. I don't own a Mac so am unable to test a MacOS version at this time.
